Sightseeing limited express “Blue Symphony” 5th Anniversary Campaign From October 1st (Friday)

The sightseeing limited express “Blue Symphony” operating between Osaka Abenobashi and Yoshino celebrated its 5th anniversary on September 10, 2021 (Friday).
From October 1st (Friday) to November 30th (Tuesday), we will carry out a campaign to disseminate the charm of the Asuka / Yoshino area in collaboration with shrines and temples and stores along the Yoshino Line.

At the shrines and temples along the railway line, we will entertain our customers with the decoration and amulets of the Chozuya with the motif of the sightseeing limited express “Blue Symphony”.

Yoshino Jingu Shrine
We colored the Chozuya with blue and origami cranes, which are limited to this campaign, using the body colors of blue and gold Mizuhiki.

The “blue” color of the car body is blueberry, the “gold” color of the line is the seasonal persimmon of Nara, and the shape of the wheels and the “green” color of the seat are imaged with kiwi.

“Deer curry” is made by carefully simmering vegetables and fruits, and soft, odorless venison mixed with wine and several kinds of spices.

Nakai Shunpu-do
A luxurious kudzu bun that is made by wrapping the bean paste of the autumn taste “Anno potato” in blue-dyed kudzu dough and decorating the surface with gold leaf.
The gap between appearance and taste is fun.
It has a refreshing blue color like summer, but the scent of autumn spreads in the mouth.

Yoshinoyama Sakura Kondo
A special soft serve ice cream made by sprinkling plenty of homemade blueberry sauce on old-fashioned vanilla soft serve.
Blueberries are from Mt. Yoshino.
The cup has the 5th anniversary of “Blue Symphony” and the collaboration logo of Sakura Kondo of Yoshinoyama.

During the 5th Anniversary Campaign, we will hold a “Yoshino Welcome Campaign” for customers who come to Mt. Yoshino using the limited express “Blue Symphony”.
When you visit the shrines and temples of Mt. Yoshino, or when you shop, eat, or drink at the target store, the date of the day will be printed on the commemorative boarding pass distributed by the lounge vehicle (car 2) of the sightseeing limited express “Blue Symphony”. Please fill in and present it yourself.
Alternatively, if you show the limited express ticket for the sightseeing limited express “Blue Symphony” before boarding the day (in the case of ticketless use, the ticket purchase screen of your mobile phone or smartphone), you can receive benefits such as discounts and souvenirs.

ZIPANGU Contemporary artists who have run through the Heisei era” Takashi Murakami x Sueo Mizuma dialogue: ‘Beyond the Theory of Artistic Entrepreneurship’ / Interview with Mr. Mizuma: ‘Rediscovering the Value of Japanese Culture by the Japanese People

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.

HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.

The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.

Two types of autumn-only red seals, ‘Chrysanthemum and Tanzaku’ and ‘Autumn Leaves and Candles’, are now available at Daisho-in Temple, Miyajima, a World Heritage island.

Two types of paper seals made exclusively for autumn, ‘Chrysanthemum and Tanzaku’ and ‘Autumn Leaves and Candles’, have been available since Monday 9 September at Daisho-in Temple on the World Heritage island of Miyajima. Quantities are limited and will run out as soon as they are gone.
