From 1 June to 31 July 2025, Kaga-conscious hot-spring hotel Kissho Yamanaka, located along the Kakusenkei, the most beautiful valley in the Hokuriku region, will launch an accommodation plan to enjoy the arrival of summer with seasonal delicacies and a stroll through the hot spring resort.

Dinner is ayu (sweetfish) kaiseki, featuring local delicacies such as jibe-ni stewed duck, seafood from the Sea of Japan and Japanese black beef. Seasonal ayu fish is grilled with salt to savour its savoury flavour, served with the delicacy ‘ayu Uruka’ (sweetfish Uruka) and cooked rice with dried ayu fish overnight. A bottle of cool summer junmai rice is offered per room. Enjoy the marriage of seasonal delicacies and local sake.
A choice of around 400 different coloured yukata, afternoon tea with Kaga pancakes, a private bath, Kaga pudding before bedtime, the traditional performance ‘Yamanaka-bushi Evening’ and other complimentary hospitality that blends Japanese and Western hospitality will add colour to your stay.
Kissho Yamanaka
The hotel offers a seasonal colourful experience with fresh green, deep green, autumn leaves and snowy landscapes. The hotel was awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide Hokuriku Edition. The interior of the hotel is decorated with traditional crafts such as Yamanaka-nuri, Kutani ware and Kaga mizuhiki lampshades, giving guests a sense of Kaga’s high quality culture.
