The glamping facility ‘The Lantern Ashibetsu’ has partnered with ‘Farm Tomita’, one of Furano’s leading tourist farms, to launch a special accommodation package including free tickets for the ‘Lavender Bus’ – a popular activity at ‘Lavender East’, which will be open for a limited period from 20 June to 20 July 2026. Bookings for this package will open on 1 June 2026.
The ‘Lavender Bus’: a popular activity that takes you through breathtaking scenery
The setting for this special offer, ‘Lavender East’, is an extension of Farm Tomita dedicated exclusively to lavender—one of the largest of its kind in Japan—which opens for a limited time during the summer.
Within the grounds, the ‘Lavender Bus’—a popular activity where a tractor pulls a passenger carriage—is in operation. Taking around 15 to 20 minutes, the tour leisurely winds its way through the vast lavender fields. From the open, windowless carriage, the rich scent of lavender drifts directly to you, accompanied by a pleasant summer breeze. As you can enjoy the 360-degree view of the endless purple carpet without the fatigue of walking, this activity is hugely popular with families with young children, as well as couples and married couples looking to relax and take in the scenery.
During the promotional period, a special package including a free ticket for the ‘Lavender Bus’ will be available exclusively to guests staying at The Lantern Ashibetsu.

The Lantern Ashibetsu
Located in Ashibetsu City, Hokkaido, ‘The Lantern Ashibetsu’ is a glamping facility offering a nature-based stay based on the concept of ‘a Scandinavian lifestyle retreat in the sleeping forest’.
In addition to private campfires in the guest tents, guests can enjoy a wide range of activities on site, including a tent sauna, a wood-fired pizza oven experience, and making leather key rings from genuine Ezo deer hide.
The ‘wood-fired pizza oven experience’ is particularly popular with families during the summer holidays, offering an authentic experience where guests can stoke the fire themselves to bake piping-hot pizzas. We offer a unique glamping experience where you can create lasting memories by savouring a pizza you’ve baked yourself amidst the natural surroundings.
