October 23, 2020 (Friday) Permanent entertainment facility “ENNICHI by 1 → 10 (One to Ten) Aquel Maebashi” that combines projection mapping and full-body 3D scanning system at the complex facility “Aquel Maebashi” at the north exit of JR Maebashi Station Will be open.

“ENNICHI by 1 → 10” adds digital technology to traditional cultures in various parts of Japan to create new experiences, and provides a place where people and people in the area and people and cultures are connected and inherited.
This is the first immersive edutainment content package in Gunma prefecture that uses digital technology such as projection mapping.

About "ENNICHI by 1 → 10 (One to Ten)"

At One To Ten, with the vision of “1 to 10 in Japan”, we will review the traditional culture of various parts of Japan from ancient times and launch the “JAPANESQUE PROJECT”, a Japanese culture update project that combines innovative creativity and technology. We are promoting. Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa serves as the executive advisor for this project.

A fusion of projection mapping, mixed reality technology, and physical performance that is permanently installed in “HANEDA INNOVATION CITY” and “night party” that lit up the former Shiba Rikyu Garden and Nagoya Castle with gastronomy. “ENNICHI by 1 → 10” was produced as a project following “DEJIMA by 1 → 10”, and “ENNICHI by 1 → 10 Aquel Maebashi” is the first of these.

1-10 will continue to provide “ENNICHI by 1 → 10” to various places and facilities as a new way to refocus on the wonderful traditional culture of various parts of Japan.

Story

“Ennichi” is said to be a day when there is a connection with God and Buddha.
In Japan, it is said that worshiping on this day is especially beneficial, and the shrine of “Ennichi” was crowded with worshipers and stalls appeared, making it a gathering place for people living in the area.
In this way, “Ennichi” has long been a relationship between God and people, and between people.

This mysterious “ENNICHI” is a special fair where eight million gods from all over Japan gather to connect people, things, and all kinds of ties in this world.
Through the mysterious play created by God, please feel the connection of various ties while encountering the traditional culture that has been passed down from ancient times.

Manenbu

The traditional Gunma prefecture “Kozuke Yagibushi” is digitized with motion capture technology. This is user-participation content in which your avatar generated at the full-body 3D scan booth installed at the venue enjoys dancing with the gods.
This is the first * attempt in Japan to permanently install 3D avatar experience content linked to large-screen projection.

In the video in the content, the choreography is reproduced on CG against the background of the narration song of “Kunisada Chuji” representing Yagibushi. Furthermore, the choreography and features will be explained in detail on the panel.

Irodori Goldfish

“Traditional Japanese colors” created by the beauty of the Japanese people. It is a content that you can learn the origin of the color name while feeling the beauty of Japanese.
By touching the goldfish of various colors floating in the water, the goldfish changes into a colorful motif.

Face makeup

Since ancient times, various aspects have been created, such as Kabuki Kumadori, Hyottoko, and Otafuku.
When you paint the prepared mask template (fan) and scan it, the original mask you drew will be projected and the festival of God will be lively.

Garashigure

Photo spot content that allows you to take photogenic photos based on traditional Japanese patterns and motifs used in kimono.
By recognizing the position of the participant with a sensor and making it a “moving pattern”, you can always shoot different visuals.
In addition, we will introduce patterns and traditional patterns, including their origins, sources, and history.

Fukumame

“Aquel Maebashi”
A complex facility located at the north exit of JR Maebashi Station (Gunma Prefecture). Eighty Years After the War: A Reflection on the Preciousness of Ordinary Life YUKIKAZE – In Theaters Nationwide from August 15, 2025

“To Return Alive, To Bring Others Home Alive”

Opening nationwide on August 15, 2025—marking eighty years since the end of World War II—YUKIKAZE is a feature film based on the true story of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) destroyer Yukikaze, a vessel that rescued countless lives amid the horrors of war. A press screening was held in advance at the Sony Pictures screening room.

The destroyer Yukikaze, which served throughout the Pacific War, was renowned for rescuing numerous sailors thrown into the sea during fierce naval battles, surviving to the end of the war virtually unscathed. It earned the legendary moniker “the lucky ship.” This film brings to life the ship’s heroic journey, alongside the lives of those who persevered through one of the most turbulent eras in modern history.

Leading the cast is Yutaka Takenouchi as Captain Kazutoshi Terasawa—a fictional amalgamation inspired by the real-life captains of Yukikaze. Hiroshi Tamaki portrays Petty Officer First Class Kohei Hayase. Supporting roles are delivered by an ensemble of acclaimed actors including Daiken Okudaira, Rena Tanaka, Kanji Ishimaru, and Toru Masuoka. Kiichi Nakai delivers a commanding performance as Vice Admiral Seiichi Itō, the Second Fleet Commander of the IJN who met his fate aboard the battleship Yamato.

To commemorate this achievement, the museum launched its first-ever contemporary art exhibition, Ambient, Environment, Circumstances – The Topography of Contemporary Art, which runs from April 26 to July 21, 2025. Within just ten days of opening, the exhibition surpassed 10,000 visitors—a record-breaking turnout for the museum.

Featuring works by emerging artists born between 1980 and 2000, primarily from across Asia, this special exhibition marks a bold new chapter for the museum as it ventures into contemporary territory.
