Real cherry blossoms, world heritage and important cultural property buildings, and naked art in VR

In response to a request from Kyoto City, we changed the contents of COVID-19 and other infectious disease prevention and outdoor migratory exhibitions to “FLOWERS BY NAKED 2020-Sakura-World Heritage Nijo Castle” in March 2020. It was held from 20th. However, due to a request from the country to refrain from going out, the event was canceled before the cherry blossoms were in full bloom on Saturday, March 28, at the discretion of the organizer.

Therefore, we are planning a VR content of Nijo Castle, a world heritage colored with cherry blossoms in full bloom and naked art. This was made possible by the cooperation of Ricoh and Omura Printing, who agreed with our call. This is a content that you can enjoy this exhibition shot with the 360-degree camera “RICOH THETA” with the paper VR goggles “Auggle S2” for smartphones.
You can enjoy the cherry-blossom viewing feeling in a virtual style while you are still out of the house.

The World Heritage site, Nijo Castle, has been holding the autumn leaves season in 2018 and 2019, and this is the first time that this exhibition will be held in Kyoto in the spring. In collaboration with the buildings that are important cultural properties such as Karamon, and the 50 types of “night cherry blossoms” that are in full bloom in Nijo Castle, we created a new cherry blossom viewing experience with the theme of “cherry blossoms.”
