Three types of cocktails using new tea from Uji tea’s long-established store “Shichimeien”, which consistently cultivates, manufactures, and sells tea leaves in Uji city. It will be offered at “The Bar” on the 1st floor of “The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto”.

Three types of cocktails devised by a team led by head bartender Yosuke Asano, who has won the “Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition 2020” in Japan.

The new tea used for cocktails is high-quality sencha tea leaves that have been carefully selected from the production areas and varieties at the Uji tea market by Mr. Chotaro Horii, the owner of “Shichimeien”.

Shichimeien
“Horii Nanaoen” inherits Uji’s oldest “Okunoyama” tea garden that has been around since the Muromachi period. It is a long-established tea shop that continues to maintain the traditional Uji tea cultivation and consistently cultivates, manufactures, and sells high-quality Uji tea. Especially for matcha, we only handle the best Tencha from Kyoto prefecture, and all of it is ground with a stone mill.
