IKSPIARI’s “Kawazu Sakura” has begun to bloom-Sakura goods and menus are also available

2020.02.27

“Kawazu Sakura” planted in the green and relaxing space “Olive and Fountain Square” of the commercial facility “Ikspiari” at Tokyo Disney ResortⓇ has begun to bloom.
As if waiting for February, dark red buds swelled and pale pink flowers began to open. In the unstable climate of repeated cold and warm weather, it is likely to be in full bloom in late February.
“Kawazu Sakura” is a cultivar that is considered to be a natural hybrid of Kanhizakura and Oshimazakura. It blooms earlier, has deeper pink or light pink petals and has a longer flowering season than Yoshino cherry tree. In the “Olive and Fountain Square”, there are seven “Kawazu Sakura”, “Plum” which is about to be seen soon, and “Weeping Sakura” which usually blooms around mid-April. You can enjoy a stroll while feeling the arrival of spring.

We light up “Kawazu Sakura” every day from 16:30 to coincide with the bloom of cherry blossoms. Shops and restaurants also offer sweets to taste “Sakura”, merchandise inspired by “Sakura”, and cosmetics to enjoy the scent of “Sakura”.
Please enjoy spring early in Ikspiari in full bloom of “cherry tree”.
