Onsen Ryokan brand “KAI” winter-only “KAI’s Reward Solo Trip Plan” on sale

2022.10.17

From December 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023, we will be offering a winter-only “Rewarding Solo Trip Plan to the World”. This plan is designed to provide you with a relaxing time that will be a reward for your hard work in overcoming busy days, tension, and stress.

Until now, KAI has sold two plans for solo travelers: the “Solo Trip Plan (with evening breakfast)” and the “Onsen Rest Plan (breakfast only)” that can be booked year-round. Unlike the year-round usage scenarios, these plans are designed to accommodate customers who want to warm up both body and soul in a hot spring because of the cold winter, and also include unprecedented services that are nice to have when staying alone.

Early check-in that allows you to enter the room 30 minutes earlier than usual

Early check-in allows you to check in 30 minutes earlier than usual
KAI, which operates nationwide, normally has a check-in time of 3:00 p.m., but you can check in 30 minutes earlier to avoid congestion. After leaving your luggage in your room, you can quickly take a bath in the hot spring to warm up your body that has been chilled on the cold road.

Caviar after a hot bath" to be enjoyed at twilight with a fine sake.

You can enjoy caviar, which is considered a luxury ingredient, to your heart’s content in the privacy of your room with a glass of local sake. Caviar has a strong image of appearing in Western cuisine, but at KAI we add Japanese ingredients such as yuzu, wasabi, and monaka to accentuate the flavor. In the evening and twilight, when people usually spend most of their time in a hurry, you can spend a relaxing time in the privacy of your room and be healed by the taste of the food without worrying about being seen.

Hitori-nabe Kaiseki," where you can enjoy the specialty nabe by yourself without hesitation

In recent years, “special kaiseki” meals, in which each facility offers its own specialty nabe, have become very popular at KAI. In this plan, “Hitori-nabe Kaiseki” customized exclusively for solo travelers will be offered at all facilities so that even solo travelers can enjoy the specialty nabe without any worries. The dining space at the inn is either a private or semi-private room type, or a counter type facing a window. You can enjoy your meal at your own pace without worrying about your surroundings.

"Moisture Mask of the World" to condition the skin after taking a bath

At all of the facilities in the world, we always provide skincare amenities of Japanese and Chinese origin as an amenity to promptly prepare your skin after bathing in a hot spring. In addition to the regular set, this one-person travel plan offers a luxurious “moisture mask of the world” that covers not only the face but also the neck as a bonus.

A boosting item that allows you to enjoy the maximum benefits of hot spring bathing is a reward for your skin.

<KAI’s Japanese and Chinese skin care amenities>
Contains extracts of hawthorn, jujube, saxifrage, and adlay, which are also used as herbal medicines. Used after bathing, it conditions the skin. Cleansing, lotion, milky lotion, and body lotion are available. They are available in all guest rooms and the changing rooms of the public baths.

<Moisture Mask of the world (special offer only for this plan)>
Winter is a time when dryness is a concern. This sheet-type mask is ideal for moisturizing-oriented skin care, covering a generous area from the face to the neck. Contains plant-derived ginseng root extract, grape leaf extract, and rice fermentation extract. After toning the skin, apply a sheet pack for 10-15 minutes. After the pack, supplement with milky lotion to fill the skin with a moisture charge.

The inn's best rooms can also be reserved.

In the travel market, general lodging facilities may have single-use reservation restrictions for suites or rooms with a view, due to circumstances on the part of the innkeeper. On the other hand, at KAI, all rooms at any facility at any location are eligible for overnight reservations, and you can choose any room you like.

[Hoshinoya Tokyo] “New Year’s Kabuki Stay” brings the hospitality of an Edo Period theatrical teahouse to the present day.

Hoshinoya Tokyo, a Japanese-style inn located in Otemachi, Tokyo, will again this year host the “New Year Kabuki Stay” program, a two-day and one-night stay from January 5 to 26, 2024.
For people living in Edo, one of their New Year’s pleasures was to watch Kabuki, and it was a chic way to spend the New Year. Theatrical teahouses supported this way of enjoying Kabuki. In addition to arranging tickets to the theater, the teahouses delighted patrons by providing a complete range of services, including plot notes, tea, sweets, makunouchi box lunches, and snacks and drinks (*1). Hoshinoya Tokyo offers a stay to celebrate the New Year with hospitality similar to the theatrical teahouses of the time.

[Shinjuku Gyoen x Naked] NAKED Autumn Foliage in Shinjuku Gyoen 2023 to be held

From November 22 (Wed) to December 3 (Sun), 2023, an autumn foliage lighting event will be held at Shinjuku Gyoen. Following the cherry blossom event this spring, Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked will collaborate again this fall for the autumn foliage event. Shinjuku Gyoen, one of Tokyo’s most famous gardens, is one of the few places in the city where visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves. The 200-meter-long rows of plane trees, the best maple tree spot in the city, Momijiyama, and the “Middle Pond,” with its spectacular reflection in the pond, will offer a world where the autumn leaves of Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked’s art and food are fused together.
