Popular winter event: Crossing the Shin Yamahiko Bridge by trolley car in the silvery white scenery.

Registration for a tour to enjoy a 600-meter ride on a trolley car (relaxing coach with windows) to “Shin Yamahiko Bridge” in Kurobe Gorge in winter will begin on December 1, 2022 (Thursday). There are two types of tours: “Tour with a visit to the garage” (held in February), in which you will disassemble the locomotive and passenger wagons before boarding the train and visit the garage where they are being inspected, and “Tour with a visit to the Serene Museum” (held in March), in which you will appreciate the art of painting in the Kurobe Gorge with a curator’s commentary.

Two types of paper seals made exclusively for autumn, ‘Chrysanthemum and Tanzaku’ and ‘Autumn Leaves and Candles’, have been available since Monday 9 September at Daisho-in Temple on the World Heritage island of Miyajima. Quantities are limited and will run out as soon as they are gone.
