[Kai Matsumoto] “Shinshu Fermentation Touji Stay” plan to warm up from the core of your body

From December 1, 2023, “Kai Matsumoto” will offer a “Shinshu Fermented Touji Stay” to deepen knowledge of “fermented foods” that have been eaten in Shinshu since ancient times and warm the body from the outside and inside with hot springs and meals in order to overcome the cold winter.

Deepen your knowledge of fermented foods while enjoying wine marriage

Staff members will serve as lecturers and give tips on fermented foods that lead to good health. The history of fermented foods in Shinshu, as well as the quality of the hot spring water and effective bathing methods of the hot springs in Kai Matsumoto will also be explained, which you can put into practice during your stay.

Learn from craftspeople at Matsumoto's long-established miso and sake breweries

At Ishii Miso, a 15-minute drive from Matsumoto, you will learn the basics of miso and how to make it directly from the craftsmen at Ishii Miso, a company that preserves the culture and history of miso in Shinshu.

Learn about traditional sake brewing from the master brewer at Zenya Sake Brewery, which continues to make excellent sake in a castle town blessed with history and the nature of Shinshu, about 10 minutes by car from Matsumoto.

This plan is available exclusively to guests of the hotel, and miso soup combined with ingredients familiar to Shinshu in winter will be served as an awakening drink to warm the body from the inside out.
