About the Yoro Railway
The Yoro Railway connects Kuwana City in Mie Prefecture with Ibigawa Town in Gifu Prefecture, with a variety of tourist attractions—including historical sites, natural scenery and hot springs—dotted along the route. On the Gifu side, visitors can enjoy walks and nature tourism at Yoro Park, which features Yoro Falls—one of the prefecture’s most famous waterfalls—and vast grounds where the natural beauty of the four seasons unfolds. On the Mie Prefecture side, there is Tado Shrine, famous for its ‘Ugemajinji’ ritual, as well as an area where streetscapes steeped in history remain, allowing visitors to spend a leisurely time.
