“Lake Ippeki” & “Maruyama Park” in Shizuoka and Ito City are in full bloom

2021.12.06

In Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where nature is abundant, you can enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves from late October to early December. The Izu City Tourism HP “Izu / Ito Tourism Guide” updates the coloring status from time to time.

Two major autumn leaves spots in Ito City

Lake Ippeki, also known as “Izu no Hitomi”. The crater lake was created by an eruption about 100,000 years ago, and the surrounding mountains, green trees, and white clouds floating in the sky are usually projected on the surface of the lake, fascinating visitors. In the autumn leaves season, the bright red trees color the beautiful lake, and the “upside-down autumn leaves” are reflected on the surface of the lake, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

Maruyama Park, where you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons, is a natural park where the murmuring of the Ozawa River and the “green and water” that create a quiet atmosphere are in harmony. You can enjoy a variety of landscapes such as plum blossoms in early spring, cherry blossoms in spring, irises in early summer, and autumn leaves in autumn.

About 90 minutes by car from the Atsugi IC on the Tomei Expressway, it is a spot for autumn leaves that is easily accessible from the city center. Ideal for making memories with families and couples.

In addition, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, please enjoy the autumn leaves by thoroughly wearing a mask except when eating and drinking, and by cooperating with infection control measures such as not making a loud voice.
