[Kai Sengokuhara] Held an art production experience with the theme of nature in Sengokuhara

2022.03.06

Hakone Sengokuhara has been developed as a villa since ancient times and is dotted with art galleries and museums. “Kai Sengokuhara” will hold “Art production experience with the theme of nature in Sengokuhara” every Tuesday and Thursday from April 12th to June 28th and September 6th to November 29th, 2022.

What is "a moment of handicraft"?

It is a local cultural experience where you can meet craftsmen, writers, and producers who inherit the local culture, see the rare techniques up close, and get to know behind the scenes. Since the brand’s inauguration, “Kai” has provided “hospitality unique to that region and season.”

Features of "Art production experience with the theme of nature in Sengokuhara"

We will invite artists Yasuto Suzuki and Shojiro Kato who are active in Japan and overseas to experience the production by making use of the inspiration received from the scenery around Sengokuhara. Even if you are not familiar with art, you can rest assured that you will be able to receive a polite lecture according to the process performed by the artist.

Drawing with artists with different styles and each technique
The art production with contemporary artist Suzuki, which will be held from April to June, starts with observing the natural materials collected around Sengokuhara and expanding the imagination. At the inn, the work is completed through drafting, composition, coloring, etc.
