Contemporary illustrators express the masterpieces of the literary giants.
In collaboration with “Otome no Bonshelf” (Rittosha), a series of collaborations in which popular contemporary illustrators add illustrations to masterpieces by great writers, we will exhibit panels with illustrations vividly remixed today by six popular artists who enjoy wide support from a wide range of people.
Staging in a retro architectural setting
The Hyakudan Staircase, a cultural asset, is a different space in which the building itself seems to have slipped back in time. It is a wooden structure that is suitable for recreating the stories spun by great writers from the Meiji to the early Showa periods.
Become a character in the story and immerse yourself in the world of Taisho Romance
Wearing a retro kimono and entering the nostalgic installation art will make you feel as if you were the hero of a story.
