[OMO5 Otaru by Hoshino Resort] “Lit Otaru Night Lounge” featuring antique music boxes in a fantastic space lit by oil lamps.

2023.09.12

The town hotel “OMO5 Otaru by Hoshino Resort” will hold a night-only event “Lighted Otaru Night Lounge” from September 1, 2023.

Otaru has developed as an economic center, with financial institutions and trading companies lining the streets. One of the many tourist resources, such as retro architecture and the Otaru Canal, is the music box. Among them, antique music boxes, which are large and expensive, are said to be rarely available for purchase or casual listening.
This time, as a way to spend a long autumn evening, please enjoy the sound of an antique music box as well as the setting and sweets that will bring you in touch with the history of Otaru.

Original sweets inspired by the floating balls of the port town of Otaru!

Visitors can taste the original sweet “grape tart” while enjoying the sound of a music box. The glassware is inspired by the floating balls used as fishing equipment in Otaru, where fishing has long been a thriving industry.
