NAKED Cherry Blossom Festival 2024: Nijo Castle, a World Heritage Site

Nijo Castle is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kyoto. The castle is loved by people from all over the world for its unique Japanese scenery of approximately 300 wild and cultivated cherry trees of 50 varieties blooming along with the historical buildings and gardens, which are designated as national treasures and important cultural properties. The annual cherry blossom lighting event at Nijo Castle will be held from March 8 (Friday) to April 7 (Sunday), 2024.

Kountei Light-up

The cherry blossoms, the pond, and the Kan-un-tei are illuminated in cherry blossom colors by lights inspired by the arrival of spring. The borrowed view of the pond reflected in the pavilion is a scenic beauty that can only be seen in the spring.

Seiryuen Cherry Blossom Light-up

The lighting up of the Seiryuen Garden, surrounded by cherry blossoms, evokes the image of a gentle spring breeze blowing. A fantastic space will be created with music, fragrance, and light to enhance the beauty of the rows of cherry trees, which are among the best in Nijo Castle.

Kitchen vestibule Projection mapping, food and beverage area

A hanami space with projection mapping depicting a cherry blossom feast covering the entire castle wall. Enjoy cherry blossoms, green tea, and other Japanese foods, as well as sakura-colored beer and other alcoholic beverages, while relaxing and enjoying the cherry blossom viewing atmosphere.

[Shinjuku Gyoen x Naked] NAKED Autumn Foliage in Shinjuku Gyoen 2023 to be held

From November 22 (Wed) to December 3 (Sun), 2023, an autumn foliage lighting event will be held at Shinjuku Gyoen. Following the cherry blossom event this spring, Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked will collaborate again this fall for the autumn foliage event. Shinjuku Gyoen, one of Tokyo’s most famous gardens, is one of the few places in the city where visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves. The 200-meter-long rows of plane trees, the best maple tree spot in the city, Momijiyama, and the “Middle Pond,” with its spectacular reflection in the pond, will offer a world where the autumn leaves of Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked’s art and food are fused together.
