Sweet potato drink from CHABAR, a new way to enjoy traditional tea

2024.10.07

Enjoy the rich sweetness of dusty sweet potatoes. Two warm seasonal drinks are now available. The Dessert Drink contains sticky, rich sweet potato mash and allows you to enjoy the autumnal taste of sweet potatoes.

Satsuma brown sugar milk

This drink contains the popular brown sugar milk with rich sweet potato paste. Finished with a generous amount of fragrant kinako (soybean flour), you can enjoy the luxurious Japanese harmony of brown sugar, soybean flour and sweet potato.

Enjoy the changing flavours as the sweet potato paste dissolves.

rice-bran pasteurised mugwort milk

The brand’s first mugwort drink is now available. The drink uses CHABAR’s original mugwort syrup, a combination of mugwort and soybean flour, which has a subtle bitterness and refreshing flavour. The mildness of the milk and the sweetness of the sweetened paste create a relaxing sweetness.

If the shiratama topping is chosen, it gives the impression of a ‘grass rice cake’.

In spring, a large amount of melt water flows into Lake Shirakawa from the Iide mountain range, one of Japan’s 100 most famous mountains, where there is heavy snowfall. When the lake is full of water, it creates a fantastic sight of white willow trees as if they are growing out of the water.
