An experience plan to fully enjoy Kyoto’s craft gin, which is a collaboration between “Ki no Bi”, which provides Japanese craft gin made by Kyoto Distillery, which specializes in gin in Japan, and Yadoru KYOTO HANARE. Have a luxurious time with premium craft gin that fuses the traditions of England and Kyoto.

Points of "Adult Botanical Experience Touching Craft Gin"

1. “Learn” the beauty of the season at the House Seminar on Beauty of the Season
In this program, a “tasting seminar” is held by reservation only at the brand shop “Ki no Bi House”. At the tasting seminar, we will introduce the history and world view of “seasonal beauty” that cannot be fully explained only during the “exhibition period” while tasting the three classic types of seasonal beauty.

2. “Taste” the beauty of the season in the finest space
The wallpaper of “Ki no Mi no Ma” on the 1st floor of “Ki no Mi House” uses the Kara paper of KIRA KARACHO (founded in 1624), which inherits the Kara paper shop from the Edo period. You will be asked to compare two types of “seasonal beauty” cocktails.

3. “Healing experience” at the beauty of the season Bath
In this program, we have prepared original bath items exclusively for Yado Le KYOTO HANARE. The aroma and taste of the beauty of the season is composed of 11 types of botanicals (raw materials), and each is divided into 6 elements according to their characteristics. From these 11 types of botanicals, we have selected 3 types that are compatible with the bath and created original bath items.

<3 types of botanicals>

·Japanese cypress
The scent of cypress slowly spreads in the bath, and you can enjoy the feeling as if you were bathing in the forest. Hinoki contains a component called phytoncide, which has a relaxing effect by lowering blood pressure and stabilizing the autonomic nerves. It is a botanical that is perfect for bathing before good night.

・ Gyokuro
It is a botanical that is perfect for bathing, where the color and aroma of tea spreads throughout the bath. Gyokuro contains an ingredient called theanine, which has a relaxation effect that heals the tiredness of the day. Please heal your daily fatigue with gyokuro.

・ Juniper berry
By loosening the juniper grains in hot water, the scent spreads and you can feel the pleasant gin scent in the bath. Please enjoy the spicy and woody scent in the bathtub.

You can use 3 botanicals at the same time. You can use it properly in the morning and evening baths. Enjoy a healing experience at the Botanical and Original Seasonal Beauty Bath that suits your taste.

4. For memories after returning home
In this program, you will be asked to bring back three types of mini bottles of seasonal beauty, “seasonal beauty,” “seasonal tea,” and “seasonal beauty.” Even after returning home, you can enjoy Kyoto’s dry gin while thinking about the memories of your trip.
* A set of 3 mini bottles per group.

What is Kyoto Dry Gin?

We actively incorporate Japanese ingredients such as gyokuro, yuzu, cypress and Japanese pepper into rice spirits and botanicals made from rice, and use Fushimi’s soft and delicate underground water. A premium craft gin that fuses the traditions of England and Kyoto.

In addition, the Kyoto Distillery, which is being produced, is Japan’s first gin produced by international members who have experience in the UK and Japan with the mission of producing the best gin in the world. It is a specialized distillery. We have built a year-round cooperative relationship with farmers in Kyoto, and are working on the production of 11 kinds of botanicals, rice spirits, and underground water from Fushimi.

[Hoshinoya Tokyo] “New Year’s Kabuki Stay” brings the hospitality of an Edo Period theatrical teahouse to the present day.

Hoshinoya Tokyo, a Japanese-style inn located in Otemachi, Tokyo, will again this year host the “New Year Kabuki Stay” program, a two-day and one-night stay from January 5 to 26, 2024.
For people living in Edo, one of their New Year’s pleasures was to watch Kabuki, and it was a chic way to spend the New Year. Theatrical teahouses supported this way of enjoying Kabuki. In addition to arranging tickets to the theater, the teahouses delighted patrons by providing a complete range of services, including plot notes, tea, sweets, makunouchi box lunches, and snacks and drinks (*1). Hoshinoya Tokyo offers a stay to celebrate the New Year with hospitality similar to the theatrical teahouses of the time.
