On June 1, 2021, “Speedy Sea Drive” will be released. This is an exhilarating activity that uses an underwater scooter to run around the beautiful sea of Yaeyama at 5.4 km / h. It is an experience that is more refreshing than snorkeling and easier to enjoy than diving. You can access the experience spots directly from the beach next to the hotel by boat, so if you are wearing a swimsuit, you do not need to bring a change of clothes.
The “underwater scooter” is equipped with an electric motor and can easily travel in the sea at a maximum speed of 5.4 km / h. Operation is easy just by grasping the handle and adjusting the speed. In addition, by attaching a small and lightweight float, it will not sink and you can have a safe and comfortable experience, so even people who are not good at swimming can easily enjoy it.
The place where you can run around the sea using an “underwater scooter” is a spectacular spot of Yaeyama called “fish field” where you can meet tropical fish such as clownfish. You can dive in the sea refreshingly without using human power, faster and deeper than you can experience in the snorkeling experience. This is an experience where you can feel the creatures living on the largest coral reef in the Northern Hemisphere called “Sekisei Shoko” closer.
Standing on the beach, “BOOKS & CAFE” offers several types of smoothies for you to enjoy after having fun with an “underwater scooter”. A smoothie with a refreshing taste that moisturizes your dry throat, using tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple, and Sanpin tea, which is representative of Okinawa.

Following the cherry blossom event this spring, Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked will collaborate again this fall for the autumn foliage event.
