[Kai Tsugaru] “Autumn Leaves Apple Lounge” to enjoy the autumn leaves and seasonal apples in the water garden.

2022.09.14

From October 15 to November 5, 2022, “Kai Tsugaru,” an Onsen inn in Aomori, will feature an “Autumn Leaf Apple Lounge” with seasonal apples, hot drinks, and private space.

A special seat in the water garden where you can immerse yourself in the superb view

In the “Tsugaru Four Seasons Water Garden” where you can feel the taste of Tsugaru’s four seasons, there are apples, autumn leaves, and red table sets reminiscent of Tsugaru lacquerware.
We will prepare a seat with a tree that bears apples of the traditional craft “Tsugaru lacquerware” so that you can enjoy it as if you were eating near the apple tree.
The table is a kotatsu, so you can enjoy it without worrying about the cold.

Apples, a seasonal delicacy lined up in a Tsugaru-nuri sweets box

We will prepare apple tea and compare the taste of apples harvested from the apple farm that spreads out in front of KAI Tsugaru.
Three types of cut apples and two types of bite-sized apple sweets are packed in a sweets box of Tsugaru’s traditional craft “Tsugaru lacquer”.
Depending on the time of year, you can taste varieties with different sweetness and sourness, as well as rare varieties that are not well known even to the locals.

Original autumn-themed Tsugaru-nuri tea set

In collaboration with young local artists, we will prepare 4 types of Tsugaru lacquered cups and 12 types of coasters with an autumn theme.
There are various techniques for Tsugaru lacquerware, and the colors and techniques vary depending on the artist.
You can choose your favorite combination from a variety of unique tea utensils and enjoy a tea ceremony with your own original tea utensil set.

[Hoshinoya Tokyo] “New Year’s Kabuki Stay” brings the hospitality of an Edo Period theatrical teahouse to the present day.

Hoshinoya Tokyo, a Japanese-style inn located in Otemachi, Tokyo, will again this year host the “New Year Kabuki Stay” program, a two-day and one-night stay from January 5 to 26, 2024.
For people living in Edo, one of their New Year’s pleasures was to watch Kabuki, and it was a chic way to spend the New Year. Theatrical teahouses supported this way of enjoying Kabuki. In addition to arranging tickets to the theater, the teahouses delighted patrons by providing a complete range of services, including plot notes, tea, sweets, makunouchi box lunches, and snacks and drinks (*1). Hoshinoya Tokyo offers a stay to celebrate the New Year with hospitality similar to the theatrical teahouses of the time.

[Shinjuku Gyoen x Naked] NAKED Autumn Foliage in Shinjuku Gyoen 2023 to be held

From November 22 (Wed) to December 3 (Sun), 2023, an autumn foliage lighting event will be held at Shinjuku Gyoen. Following the cherry blossom event this spring, Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked will collaborate again this fall for the autumn foliage event. Shinjuku Gyoen, one of Tokyo’s most famous gardens, is one of the few places in the city where visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves. The 200-meter-long rows of plane trees, the best maple tree spot in the city, Momijiyama, and the “Middle Pond,” with its spectacular reflection in the pond, will offer a world where the autumn leaves of Shinjuku Gyoen and Naked’s art and food are fused together.
