Miharu Takizakura, one of the five great cherry trees that Japan is proud of, is said to be over 1000 years old and has been designated as a national natural monument.

The huge Benishidarezakura (red weeping cherry tree), which is 12m high, 11m around the root, 9.5m around the trunk, 22m east-west and 18m north-south, blooms like a waterfall with its flowers, hence the name “Takizakura”. It was done.

Miharu Takizakura has survived the severe cold of winter in Tohoku and has been blooming in spring for over 1000 years. You can feel its overwhelming vitality and even its unique aura.

Miharu Takizakura has been loved by many people since it was selected as one of the “100 Best New Japan Trees” in 1990. The time of full bloom is from mid-April to late April every year. By all means, this is the 100 best view of cherry blossoms.
