Japan’s first glamping resort “Hoshinoya Fuji” will offer “Jukai Retreat” during the period from April 26th to August 31st, 2021 when it is full of greenery. This is a wellness program where you can bathe in the forest and deeply heal.
After stopping by the power spot of Aokigahara Forest, The Dragon Cave, and sharpening your senses in a mysterious atmosphere, you will perform a “power walk” to awaken your body while bathing in the forest. You can feel the nature of the forest with your whole body, such as the scent of the forest, the soft sunlight, and the chirping of birds. By walking vigorously through the lava ground of the Jukai, you can feel the purification and deep healing of your mind and body.
In addition, the Glamping Master, who is familiar with the outdoors, supports the program, so even those who do not usually have a habit of exercising can participate without difficulty.
The spread of corona infection has required major changes in lifestyle. When asked, “Did you feel any physical or mental illness due to the corona sickness?”, One in two responded that they were “anxious” about their physical and mental health (57.2%). (*2) For such people, we would like to provide deep healing with a wellness program that combines the natural and cultural characteristics of the forest at the northern foot of Fuji, where Hoshinoya Fuji is located. Was developed.

[Survey outline] Period: November 17th to 18th, 2020 Method: Internet Survey target: 1800 men and women in their 20s and 40s
Learn about the formation of the forest and the characteristics of vegetation from the glamping master, and sharpen your senses at the Dragon Cave in the lava cave (*3). The Dragon Cave, which is said to have been visited by people to beg for rain, is also a nationally designated natural monument. At the entrance, the shrine of Toyotamahime, the god of water, is enshrined.
Cold air is flowing out from the depths of the cave, and there is an air that stretches your spine around the shrine. In a sacred atmosphere, you can sharpen your senses and feel the purification of your mind and body while pondering the culture unique to this land.
(*3) The lava flow gasified under high temperature and high pressure creates initial cavities, and each cavity is scraped by the fluid lava on the floor and connected one after another to form a tunnel-shaped horizontal hole. (From Yamanashi Prefectural Board of Education, Ashiwada Village Board of Education)
After sharpening your senses at the Dragon Cave, you will have a “power walk” at Jukai. Power walk is one of the health methods to walk fast by stepping firmly on the ground with the soles of your feet while being aware of deep breathing and core. After receiving a power walk lecture from the glamping master, you can experience the energy of the forest with your whole body and get deep healing while bathing in the forest.
Before and after the power walk, there is physical stretching and dietary support. Since Aokigahara is a semi-highland with an altitude of about 920m to 1300m, we will perform a “forest stretch walk” on the day of arrival for the purpose of acclimatizing to the highlands.
This is a program originally developed by Hoshinoya Fuji, and with the support of the Glamping Master, it will warm up for about 30 minutes on the walking path on the premises. In addition, we will prepare for the next day by creating an energy bar to replenish energy between power walks and having a warm dinner.
The first thing to do after the power walk on the second day is a cool-down to relax your body. In addition, we are conscious of recovery from fatigue after exercise, and we provide a branch that can supply high quality protein and energy.
