[Risonare Atami] “Night Strawberry Tour” to enjoy the sweetness of strawberries and wine

2021.12.03

“Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Atami” will hold a night strawberry picking program “Night Strawberry Tour” on even days from January 6th to March 30th, 2022, limited to one group per day.

Enjoy the sweetness of strawberries, pairing with wine

Fresh strawberry x rose sparkling wine
Ripe strawberries x red wine
Strawberry with condensed milk x white wine

In order to let you know more about the deliciousness of strawberries, we will prepare a pairing with wine to enjoy the sweetness of strawberries. First, taste the rosé sparkling that brings out the sweet and sour taste of strawberries.

Two items are pairing with red wine. If you apply the flesh of the strawberry to the edge of the glass and combine it with the red wine that emphasizes the fruitiness, the sweetness of the strawberry will be elegantly enhanced. At the end, enjoy the rich sweetness by combining strawberry with condensed milk and sweet white wine. It is an experience where you can feel the various sweetness of strawberries by pairing.

Fresh strawberry x sencha
Ripe strawberries x gyokuro
Strawberry x roasted green tea with condensed milk

We also offer pairing with non-alcoholic drinks using sencha, gyokuro, and roasted green tea. Drinks made with tea unique to Shizuoka bring out the various sweetness of strawberries, just like wine.

Night strawberry hunting with the illuminated house reserved

After dinner, leave the hotel with the invitation to the Night Strawberry Tour provided in your room. The destination is a house with shining illuminations.
Once inside, there are strawberry lanes in front of you. A red carpet is laid between the lanes, giving you the excitement of being invited to a party. The house is reserved, so you can enjoy strawberry picking at night to your heart’s content.

Red cheeks produced with particular attention to the cultivation environment

Beni Hoppe is a strawberry born in Shizuoka that was bred by crossing the strawberry varieties “Akihime” and “Sachinoka”. The name comes from the rich taste that makes the cheeks fall off. The red cheeks of “Izu Hollies”, which is affiliated with this program, have also won a prize at “Food Action Nippon” sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, which commends excellent products from all over Japan.
