Walt Disney Japan K.K. will release WHITE POOH, the popular winter series of Pooh and friends, in Disney Store shops from Friday 1 November, and in selected Disney Store stores* and the official Disney online store from Tuesday 29 October in advance.

The popular winter series WHITE POOH is back again this year.

The popular WHITE POOH winter range is now available from the Disney Store. This year’s theme is Fruit Lattes and Pooh and his friends are soft and fluffy, wearing a cape in light and soft colours and a hat with a big white pom-pom. Enjoy Pooh’s adorable expressions and poses as he spreads his cape, smiles with his mug, or leans down to sleep.

The most popular plush toys and key rings feature Pooh and his friends. Each wears a different coloured cape and hat and is soft and cuddly to the touch. There is also a room cardigan that is perfect for the cold season, a blanket that can be used as a poncho when the hood is on, hair bands, room socks and other items to make time at home even more fun.

The limited-edition coloured Pooh plush toy and plush keychain feature Pooh in a pink cape and hat, sitting in an adorable pose with his hands over his mouth. The super-big size plush toy is approximately 75 cm tall and has a great presence, and is as tall as an adult sitting next to it.

The Uru-Po-Chan range features plush Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Roo wearing fruit latte coloured capes and hats. The fluffy feel and soft colours give the design a winter feel. As well as your favourite characters, you can line them up in a row to create a warm and cosy atmosphere in your room.

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “ZIPANGU: Contemporary Artists Who Defined the Heisei Era” (November 2, 2024 – December 22, 2024). This showcase brings together works by some of the most prominent figures in Japan’s contemporary art scene, including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Makoto Aida, Yoshitomo Nara, Chiharu Shiota, Izumi Kato, Akira Yamaguchi, and Miwa Komatsu. The exhibition has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 10,000 visitors.

HYAKKEI covered the dialogue between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Sueo Mizuma, the curator of this exhibition, held at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. We also conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Mizuma.

The discussions centered on the aspirations behind the ZIPANGU exhibition and offered forward-looking insights, not only into Japan’s art world but also into the rediscovery of value within Japanese culture by its people.

Two types of autumn-only red seals, ‘Chrysanthemum and Tanzaku’ and ‘Autumn Leaves and Candles’, are now available at Daisho-in Temple, Miyajima, a World Heritage island.

Two types of paper seals made exclusively for autumn, ‘Chrysanthemum and Tanzaku’ and ‘Autumn Leaves and Candles’, have been available since Monday 9 September at Daisho-in Temple on the World Heritage island of Miyajima. Quantities are limited and will run out as soon as they are gone.
