The “Ume Garden” is home to more than 160 plum trees of about 70 varieties.
You can enjoy viewing many varieties, including ‘Mikaiko’ and ‘Tsukikage’, which have been handed down from the Edo period. The Ume Garden is in full bloom from early February to early March, and the “Ume Festival” is held to coincide with the time of year when the flowers are in full bloom and become more colorful.
